East Exchange
East Exchange is a prototype app demonstrating how university students can trade items that are no longer being used. This ranged from clothes to unopened long-life food and drink.
This project was undertaken using Adaldo.
East Exchange Low-Fidelity Sketches
Before beginning any prototyping, I sketched out an expectation of my ideas. This involved drawing each page and mapping how they would interact with each other.
Making the High-Fidelity Prototype
In this project, Adalo was used to make the high-fidelity prototype. This involved designing each screen to a high standard and both creating and testing the connective flow between pages of the application.
In this case, it links the app in a similar style to social media with sign up/log in pages leading to a home page, search, categories, bookmarks and even a personal profile. As there is a navigation bar along the bottom of the app, there are many overlapping connections.
Outcomes
Ultimately, this project resulted in a fully functioning prototype of a University based swapping app.
This can be seen here, with some screenshots of the resulting prototype going through the process to requesting to swap an item. The system uses tokens as remuneration. This avoided the problem of direct swaps which could cause mismatches and lead to unnecessary waste.
