Additional Creations
Not every creation has been the result of a complete project therefore, this page features some creations that do not have accompanying full projects.
Horror Game Title Pages
During a collaborative project to create a videogame, I created both the Cover Page and the Game Over screen to fit the style and context of the game.
As it was set in a classroom at night, I used a chalkboard as a centerpiece. The text was then given a chalk-like font to match the theme.
The players torch which they use to guide themselves through the game is featured as a ‘spotlight’ on the main page.
Chill Out
For this project, I used Adobe Illustrator to create a poster.
This was a result of challenging myself to create a graphic that could be used as a cover poster for informing the public about an issue. In this case, it was a result of a hot summer and the need to cool down.
In order to achieve this, I used a blue colour scheme to mimic the ice and water imagery. In addition to this, the white made a nice contrast to the deep blue, allowing for the text to stand out and be easily readable. The pale yellow background on the ice cube allows it to stand out as it is a high contrast colour pair that demonstrates a comforting and non-abrasive backing.
Cat Game Assets
During a coding project, I needed to create both environments and assets. As a result, I created a kitchen counter with populated shelves.
This game was a platfomer and featured cats as they often knock things off counters and shelves. Due to the cat being the player avatar, the enemies were chosen to be dogs and other cats challenging the territory.
Finally, an 8-bit style was chosen as the game was 2D and in turn was decided to follow the aesthetic of a more ‘retro’-style game. In order to achieve this, I used PixilArt to draw intentionally pixelated icons.
