Cherry Blossom Learning

This is a speculative design project considering the pros and cons of an AI education app. As well as exploring the hypothetical of the app, Generative AI (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, CoPilot) was used to explore and research current capabilities.

The final prototype was realised through AdobeXD. The assets were created using Canva. The videos were all editied using Premiere Pro. The presentation was created in Google Slides.

Wireframes for prototype app

The idea for this project came as a result of extensive research into AI, the current educational climate and the cost of education. In addition to this, I was inspired to explore this topic as a result of my time tutoring children in coding and further the conversation on quality education.

Therefore, I initially sketched out my idea as a low-fidelity product. In this case, I used wireframes to map out the content for the app and the flow of interactions.

The Creative Process

To execute this, I first found inspiration in nature-themed technology eg. Apple, Blackberry and decided to apply this to my product. Once named, it was important to keep the theming consistent, resulting in a colour scheme inspired by a cherry blossom flower.

Billboard Poster

As this was a speculative design project, I wanted the worldbuilding to be more overarching, therefore, I created more media in conjunction with the product. This is demonstrated here through a poster designed for a billboard which follows the 7-word rule.

This created a multi-media aspect for this project.

Final Product

The final outcome resulted in a fictitious product pitch demonstrating the idea, the environment it would fit into and the business-side of the package to evoke strong feelings from the watcher. This involved including a deliberate spelling mistake from the AI as many have been evidenced to struggle with early, free to access LLMs this in order to make the comment a little more obvious.
